AwardMeter is a reference site, not a shop. We collect the minimum needed to know the site works: basic traffic measurement, plus an email address only if you ask for a price alert.
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. It sets cookies in your browser and sends Google your IP address, the pages you view, and general details such as your browser, device and country. We use it only to understand traffic in total, never to identify you.
We do not run advertising on this site, we do not sell your data, and we do not use it to target ads at you anywhere else.
Our web server also keeps ordinary access logs: the page requested, the time, and the address it came from. Those logs are how we spot outages and abuse. They are kept for 90 days and then deleted.
You can opt out and lose nothing. Any browser setting or extension that blocks analytics stops the tag from loading, and every page works exactly the same without it. Google also publishes an opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
If you sign up for a price alert we store the email address you type, the hotel it is for, and the date you signed up. That is the whole record, and it exists so we can send you that one alert.
We do not sell it, share it, or send you marketing. Ask us to delete it and we will.
